The overall rate of inflation, measured by the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI) on a year-on-year basis, decreased to (-2.1)% in November 2024, the Department of Census and Statistics reported.
According to the department, the decrease was compared to the (-0.8)% recorded in October 2024.
Meanwhile, food inflation has also come down in November to 0.6% from October’s 1%.
Non-food-Inflation also dropped to (-3.3)% in the month, compared to the (-1.6)% reported in October.
