Imran Khan, Genelia D’Souza and the film’s cast members sang Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na song in a special tribute.

Bringing the perfect mix of comedy, romance and friendship, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na has clocked 16 years. Revolving around two best friends, Abbas Tyrewala’s directorial debut has enjoyed cult status to date. On its 16th anniversary this year, the film’s primary cast came together to celebrate the occasion and sang the Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na song. A video featuring Imran Khan and Genelia D’Souza along with other cast members has taken the internet by storm.

Shared on the Instagram handle of Aamir Khan Productions, the video begins with Imran, who takes the lead, followed by others who sing their parts separately in different places. While Genelia takes over as Aditi, we can also spot Meghna, aka Manjari Fadnis, Jiggy (Nirav Mehta), Bombs (Alishka Varde), and, of course, Rotlu (Karan Makhija) making surprise entries in the song.

Ageing finely, the actors exuded the vintage gang vibes we all felt in the film. Last but not least, the CSF inspector played by Murli Sharma also appears at the end with his iconic dialogue. “Agli baar ya gaana gaya toh goli maar dunga,” he says with a smile, while Imran adds, “Sorry, sir. 16 saal ho gaye, ekbaar toh banta hai.”

“16 years and we are still singing this song for everyone we love,” the video’s caption read. The clip instantly won fans’ hearts, who have never failed to shower the film and its characters with love.

A fan wrote, “How Genelia’s voice hasn’t changed a bit,” while another commented, “We want Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na in Theatres again!”

“Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na (most beautiful innocent movie in the world),” remarked another. Fans even demanded the makers bring a second part of this song with cast members Prateik Babbar, Sohail Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Ratna Pathak, and Naseeruddin Shah.
