President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will oversee the swearing-in of the new Cabinet at 10 a.m. today (18 Nov) at the Presidential Secretariat, according to the President’s Media Division (PMD).
Reports from The Sunday Times suggest that the President plans to appoint a 23-member Cabinet, retaining the key portfolios of defence and finance under his leadership. Harini Amarasuriya is set to be reappointed as Prime Minister, while Vijitha Herath will continue in his role as Foreign Minister.
