At the inauguration of the refurbished Court of Appeal building, funded by a grant from China, Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring justice for the people.
The building, renovated with support from China, stands as a significant development for the judicial system.
The opening plaque at the event notably featured no names, marking a distinctive choice.
The Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to the People’s Republic of China for their generous contribution to the country’s judicial reform.
Present at the event were Chinese Ambassador Qi Zhenhong and senior officials, including Chief Justice Murdu Fernando.
