Dulquer Salmaan, Meenakshi Chaudhary’s Lucky Baskhar To Now Release On This Date

Attention all Dulquer Salmaan fans, we have good news for you. The much-awaited suspense family drama, Lucky Baskhar, will be out 3 weeks prior to its initial release date. The Venky Atluri directorial was earlier supposed to hit screens on September 27. It will now be released on September 7, on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.

On Monday evening, the lead actor made the news public on his social media handles. Sharing a new still from his film, Dulquer Salmaan wrote, “This Vinayaka Chaturthi, Get ready to experience #LuckyBaskhar’s unforgettable journey on the Big Screens! Worldwide Grand Release on 7th SEPT in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil & Hindi Languages. #LuckyBaskharOnSept7th.”

The film’s teaser was out in April. Releasing the clip, Dulquer Salmaan gave an insight into Lucky Baskhar’s plot. Lucky Baskhar revolves around the captivating journey of an ordinary man and his triumphs, whom he describes as a ‘common, middle-class, Indian man’.

Baskhar is a bank cashier with fictional Magadha Bank and bored with his daily mediocre life. The film is set between the late 1980s and early 1990s. His life takes a dramatic turn when he comes across a huge sum of money, making people wonder how he earned it. Meenakshi portrays Baskhar’s love interest.

Other than Dulquer Salmaan, the film will also star Meenakshi Chaudhary, Ayaan Sohan and Kishore Raju Vasistha in pivotal roles. Lucky Baskhar will be released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi, considering the craze of the Sita Ramam star across India.

The movie has been written and helmed by Venky Atluri. It is being co-produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. The music has been composed by GV Prakash Kumar while Nimish Ravi and Navin Nooli worked as the cinematographer and the film’s editor, respectively.
