Hina Khan recently revealed that she has been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.
Hina Khan, known for her iconic role as Akshara in TV show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, recently revealed that she has been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. In a post, she opened up about her diagnosis and reassured her fans sharing her ongoing treatment journey. Since her announcement, the actress has been receiving an outpouring of support from her friends and fans.
Hina had also shared a video on her Instagram attending an award function. In the caption, she mentioned that despite her diagnosis, she made a “conscious choice to normalise” her presence. She further mentioned that she received an award at the function and went straight to hospital for her first chemotherapy session.
Now, Ekta Kapoor sharing the same video on her Instagram Stories gave a shoutout to Hina calling her a “hero.” She captioned it, “Star. Sorry superstar !!!! Truly my hero Hina Khan.”
Moved by Ekta’s heartfelt message, Hina shared Ekta’s message on her Instagram Stories and wrote, “A real queen lifts and you have been lifting my spirit since you’ve gotten to know..The way you check on me..it makes a great difference. You give me strength. Cannot be more thankful to have known you Ekta. Love you Ektaa Kapoor.”
Not only Ekta, the actress has been receiving overwhelming support from across the entertainment industry with celebrities like Sumantha Ruth Prabhu, Mouni Roy, Sunil Grover, Karishna Tanna, Shehnaz Gill and others sending their heartfelt wishes and encouragement.
Recently, Hina posted another emotional video where she bravely goes for a short haircut as part of her chemotherapy treatment. Despite her mother’s emotional reaction, Hina comforts her and tells her how she had gotten her hair cut in the past. She urged her to stay calm.
With the assistance of her hairdresser friend, Hina takes charge and cuts the first strand of her long tresses herself. The hairdresser then styles her hair into a chic, short look. Though visibly emotional, Hina maintains her composure. After the cut, she remarks, “It’s nice, and I feel liberated.”
On the professional front, Hina Khan recently graced the silver screen in the comedy film Shinda Shinda No Papa. She starred alongside Gippy Grewal and Shinda Grewal. The ensemble cast also includes talented actors like Prince Kanwaljit Singh, Niraml Rishi, Raghveer Boll, Jaswinder Bhalla, Guri Ghuman, Seema Kaushal and more. The film has been directed by Amarpreet GS Chhabra and written by Naresh Kathooria. It also marked Hina’s debut in the Punjabi film industry.
