The shooting of actor Vijayaraghavan’s upcoming Malayalam film titled Ouseppinte Osyath has started in Peerumedu village of Kerala amid fog and rain. He will be playing the lead role in the film. His character is reportedly 80-year-old. He garnered headlines last year by playing the character of a 100-year-old guy in the film Pookkaalam. Ouseppinte Osyath is directed by debutant Sarath Chandran. It is produced by Edward Anthony under the banner of Megur Films. Saratchandran, a native of Thiruvananthapuram’s Vattiyoorkavu, has been working with ad films in Bengaluru for a long time and is set to take his first step in feature filmmaking.
The shoot began at a large estate bungalow nestled in the middle of beautiful tea plantations and cardamom groves on a hill on the Elappara – Wagamon route. This bungalow is also the main location of the film. Sarath Chandran said that this is the ancestral home of the central character Euseppe.
The simple puja ceremony started with interfaith prayers by Christian, Hindu and Muslim priests Father Jomin, Anish Thirumeni and Nissamuddin Ustad. It was followed by the first clap done by producers Edward Anthony and Sushil Thomas. The entire crew and actors were present in the puja ceremony of the film. The makers define Ouseppinte Osyath as an emotional family drama film. The plot revolves around a rich family which consists of a father and his sons.
The film tells the story of Ousepin and his three sons who amassed wealth in the eastern mountains fighting against wild animals and adverse conditions. The character of Vijayaraghavan is in his 80s and lives with great enthusiasm after going through several ups and downs in the film. An unexpected problem in the family leads to the tip of the conflict between the father and sons. The storyline is driven by the joint attempt of the family to find a solution.

Joji Mundakayam, James Elia, Anjali Krishna, Sajadh Bright, Jordi Poonjar and Zharin Shihab also star in the lead roles. The screenplay of the film is done by Fazal Hassan.
