The Sri Lanka Railways Station Masters’ Union (SLRSMU) states that if the government tries to control the trade unions through repression, the entire railway service’s trade unions will not hesitate to unite and fight.
SLRSMU Chairman Sumedha Somarathna said that railway employees will not take any action because they believe their demands will be resolved quickly.
If not, the executive council will meet this afternoon (July 11) to make the necessary decisions, he added.
