Actor-producer Manchu Vishnu, who predominantly works in Telugu cinema, has been newly elected as the president of the Movie Artists Association (MAA). Following this, the actor recently issued a strong appeal for all the influencers and netizens to be responsible and avoid publishing or spreading offensive stuff about actors, actresses, and their families on social media. In a recent press meeting, Vishnu Manchu warned that those posting offensive content will not be spared and MAA is reaching out to the police department for help.
In addition, the actor shared a video on his own Instagram handle. In the clip, he talked about Praneeth Hanumantu’s offensive video. Vishnu also mentioned that offensive comments and videos on actors and actresses won’t be tolerated anymore. Furthermore, he advised content makers to delete such defamatory videos and memes from their channels within 48 hours or face legal consequences.
The actor also shared that legendary actor Brahmanandam has also expressed his displeasure over the members using his clips and pictures for obscene memes. He further sought support from the government.
The actor also emphasised the importance of using social media platforms responsibly. He acknowledges the importance of YouTube and other social media outlets giving birth to numerous influencers and content makers. He asked these influencers to consider the impact of their content and avoid crossing lines that might cause harm to others.
In a heartfelt gesture, Vishnu Manchu also addressed the Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He expressed his hope that they would support MAA’s efforts to maintain a healthy and respectful environment in the film industry.
