Rohit Saraf as Raghav in Ishq Vishk Rebound.
Rohit Saraf opened up about Ishq Vishk Rebound’s poor performance at the box office.
Rohit Suresh Saraf, who recently appeared in ‘Ishq Vishk Rebound’ with co-stars Pashmina Roshan, Jibraan Khan, and Naila Grewal, remains optimistic despite the film’s mixed reviews and modest box office earnings, totaling around 4 crores in its first week. Saraf is buoyed by the enthusiastic response to his individual performance, maintaining a positive outlook.
Rohit Saraf told Hindustan Times, “I don’t understand box office numbers and I don’t get the math behind it. I only care about the fact that people liked my performance.
I am very happy, I have received a lot of love. My family, fans, and people from the industry have liked my work. I am using all of that positivity to do better in a project that I am currently working on.”
As for the reactions to his film, Rohit Saraf added, “No matter how good the work is, you could make the greatest thing and somebody would still not like it. It really depends from person to person and it’s absolutely okay. Everything doesn’t have to appeal to everybody. I respect that and still appreciate that they took out the time to go and watch it.”
Ishq Vishk Rebound, directed by Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari, explores the story of two best friends who navigate love, friendship, betrayal, heartbreak, and rebound relationships. The film stars Rohit Saraf, Pashmina Roshan, Naila Grewal, and Jibraan Khan. Talking to News18 Showsha exclusively about the mixed reviews, Rohit Saraf said that it drives him more to do the kind of work which the audience would appreciate.
He said, “I feel like I had such high expectations from myself and it came to my performance in the film because all this while I had a dream that I wanted to be a mainstream hero and I wanted to do a mainstream film. I wanted to be on the big screen and I wanted to see myself myself dance and all of that and so I had like massive expectation for myself. And to meet up with an expectation, I could only do one thing — that was to work tremendously hard for it, which I did. I ensured that every single day, when I entered and before I left I ensured that my director and producers were happy with what I did.”
