Ali Fazal and Pankaj Tripathi starrer Mirzapur Season 3 will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video from July 5.
Amazon Prime Video’s highly-awaited crime thriller series, Mirzapur, is set to return with its third season in July this year. With actors Pankaj Tripathi as Kaleen Bhaiya and Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit ready to set the screen on fire, fans are eagerly waiting to see how the power struggles, revenge drama and complex family dynamics deepen in the next part. Ahead of the show’s premiere, actor Ali Fazal opened up about his character, revealing that this season has taken a different route. Earlier, he even teased that the viewers would see a “more intriguing and remarkable performance from his side.
In a conversation with The Free Press Journal, Ali acknowledged that his character in the Mirzapur franchise turned out to be a “career-defining” role, holding significance for the industry. He also admitted that the show gave him more opportunities and expanded his horizons, further explaining that its impact was very different from typical shows, affecting the trajectory of his Hollywood journey.
What’s In For Guddu Bhaiya In Mirzapur 3?
Spilling beans on the upcoming season of Mirzapur, the actor shared that it has taken a different route with more grip on drama. “Interestingly, we have introduced hand combat. We lose some important characters, but we gain some new ones. I underwent a different kind of preparation, which was fun,” he added.
Ali’s response will definitely please all those fans who were not satisfied with his minimal time in season 2. Earlier, he said that his character (Guddu) was doing the wait-and-patience game and is now ready to come back with a “true sense of fire” in season 3. “The makers have definitely amped this season up, and Guddu has a very exciting arc he goes through and is back in action,” he said as quoted by Bollywood Life.
For more on Mirzapur Season 3, it will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video on July 5. Besides Tripathi and Ali Fazal, the series also stars Shweta Tripathi, Isha Talwar, Anjum Sharma, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, Priyanshu Painyulu, Sheeba Chadha and Meghna Malik in prominent roles.
The trailer for the show was recently unveiled, promising more drama, blood and power play. It features Guddu Bhaiya striving to impose his influence over Purvanchal, while Rasika Duggal’s character switches sides to join him.
