Marvel Studios has finally dropped the official teaser of Captain America: Brave New World featuring Anthony Mackie.
Captain America is back with the shield. Marvel Studios has dropped the first action-packed teaser for the Anthony Mackie-starrer Captain America: Brave New World. After Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers handed over his iconic vibranium shield to Mackie’s Sam Wilson, it seems like the new superhero is now entering a “brave new world.” Going by the trailer, it seems like you would like to revisit The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. After years of being a sidekick to his predecessor, Sam Wilson is finally ready to take it all alone and walk in the footsteps of Rogers.
The teaser shows Sam being greeted by US President Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford), who wishes to make Captain America a US agent. When a reluctant Wilson witnesses a mind-controlled Isaiah Bradly (Carl Lumbly) attacking the president, he is left with no choice but to spring into action. As the action escalates quickly, one could catch a glimpse of the Red Hulk, another gamma-radiated monster, as shown in the Marvel comics as Ross’s alter-ego.
However, it is yet to be seen if the film will follow the same storyline as the comics.
Meanwhile, the trailer also features Danny Ramirez as former Air Force lieutenant Joaquin Torres, Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns, AKA The Leader, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, Shira Haas as the Israeli superhero Sabra, Giancarlo Esposito as a mysterious villain, and of course Ford taking over the role of Ross from the late William Hurt.
