Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya has directed authorities to investigate and submit a report regarding an incident where seven second-year students of the Faculty of Agriculture at Sabaragamuwa University fell ill after receiving vaccinations at the university’s medical centre.
The affected students were admitted to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
The Prime Minister has instructed the Chairman of the University Grants Commission, the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, and the Medical Officer of the Balangoda Base Hospital to assess the students’ condition and expedite the investigation.
