Alia Bhatt Encourages Daughter Raha To Embrace Her True Self: ‘I Believe Children Are…’

Alia Bhatt is steadily building her legacy, not just as an acclaimed actor, but also as an accomplished entrepreneur, producer, and now, a loving storyteller for her daughter Raha, with the support of her husband Ranbir Kapoor. One priority for Alia is to avoid imposing any pressures on her daughter. She emphasizes the importance of allowing Raha to develop her own unique personality naturally. After welcoming Raha in November 2022, Alia chose to take her time before introducing her daughter to the public. The official introduction happened during Christmas of 2023. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Alia shared that as a mother, she has always relied on her instincts to guide her parenting journey.

She shared with the portal,”When it comes to the legacy that I envisioned as an actor and a mother, I don’t think it has been calculated from my side. The choices I make as a mother are also very instinctive to what I feel is best for my child. I am very meticulous, but I can also be very random. So I’m kind of a mix of both.”

The actor is committed to allowing her daughter to discover her own identity as she matures. “I do believe children are born with their own personality. You just have to nurture and care for them and let them find their own feet. Let them be their own person. I don’t think I want her (Raha) to ever be any version of herself that she doesn’t feel most comfortable with.” she explained.

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt has finally announced that her upcoming Spy Universe film is titled ‘Alpha’. On Friday morning, the actress took to her Instagram handle and dropped a video in which she announced that the shooting for the much-awaited movie has finally begun.

The clip showed ‘Alpha’ written on it as Alia’s voiceover said, “Greek alphabet ka sabse pehle akshar aur hamare program ka motto. Sabse pehle, sabse tez, sabse veer. Dhyaan se dekho toh har shahar mein ek jungle hai aur har jungle mein raaj karega ek Alpha (The first alphabet of the Greek language and our motto – first, fastest and courageous. If you see, every city is a jungle and every jungle is ruled by an Alpha)”.

Alia Bhatt’s standalone YRF Spy Universe film was confirmed earlier this year when Yash Raj Films’ CEO Akshaye Widhani said, “As one of the most prized IPs, we take a lot of pride in it. So there’s a lot of stuff that’s going to come in the spy universe. We’re going to see more and more films getting made under it. But, of course, not going to share everything here. We will talk about it at a more opportune time. For now, I can say that Alia Bhatt is headlining a spy universe film.”
