The fans of Dr Shivarajkumar, fondly called Shivanna, have a lot to celebrate. The popular actor, currently involved in several film projects has completed the shooting of his new film Bhairati Ranagal. The makers have planned a special surprise for Shivanna’s birthday on July 12.

The latest update from Geetha Pictures, under whose banner Bhairathi Ranagal is being shot, has shared the kumbakali ceremony marking the completion of the shooting with a message saying that the final verdict on Bhairathi Ranagal will be announced on July 12, Shivarajkumar’s birthday. In other words, the team will announce a new release date for the film. Shivarajkumar plays a lawyer in the film and he turns 62 on July 12. Previously, the film was scheduled to hit the theatres on August 15.

At the same time, elaborate plans are underway to celebrate Shivarajkumar’s 62nd birthday in a grand style. The climax of the celebrations is expected to be the release of a teaser showcasing Shivarajkumar’s role in the film and giving fans a sneak peek of what to expect.

Bhairathi Ranagal, produced under the banner of Geetha Pictures, promises to be a major release. As a special gesture, the film’s team recently released a making-of video on the birthday of Geetha Shivrajkumar, the producer.

The film is said to be a major prequel to Mufti, with an intriguing story that explores why lawyer Bhairathi Ranaga/ becomes a dreaded don. The film boasts of an impressive ensemble cast, including Rukmini Vasanth opposite Shivarajkumar, Rahul Bose, Devraj, Chhaya Singh, Madhu Guruswamy and Vasishtha Simha in the lead roles.

Naveen Kumar handled the cinematography while Ravi Basrur composed the music. The film features intricate scenes, including a minefield and helicopter shots, and even a dramatic sequence where a police station is set on fire.
