Coolie is reported to be a gangster drama.
Coolie’s makers reportedly approached Fahadh Faasil for a key in the film.
Superstar Rajinikanth is all set to star in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s highly anticipated film, Coolie. There has been a lot of buzz around the film as fans are eagerly awaiting the much-awaited collaboration between the acclaimed filmmaker and Thalaivar. Recently, it was reported that the team has already started shooting for the film and is expected to announce further information soon. Now, it has been reported that the makers of the film approached Fahadh Faasil for a key in the biggie. Things didn’t quite work out between them, and the Pushpa franchise actor had to reject the Rajinikanth starrer. According to reports, popular actor Fahadh Faasil was supposed to be a part of Lokesh Kanagaraj and Rajinkanth’s Coolie. Fahadh turned down the offer due to date issues. Fahadh and Lokesh have had a great rapport, as the actor was also a part of the filmmaker’s superhit film, Vikram. Fahadh was seen playing a key role in the project and is an important part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).
As per reports, the makers had met Fahadh for Coolie and discussed the matter with him in detail. FaFa refused to sign the project, as he has already been doing a lot of projects. Fahadh Faasil will be seen playing an important role in Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan. It was found that the actor had recently dubbed for his part in Chennai.
Talking about Coolie, it has been found that Rajinikanth will be seen playing the role of a don in the project. The announcement teaser suggests that Coolie will be set against the backdrop of gold smuggling. Even though Coolie is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, it is a standalone film and will not be a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), which has films like Vikram, Kaithi, and Leo. Apart from Rajinikanth, the project also has Sathyaraj and Shruti Haasan in key roles. The music for the project is given by Anirudh Ravichander, who has earlier teamed up with Rajinikanth for a few projects. The film is expected to be released next year.
